Oh yeah Mikey

I chose the Walnut in the first place because it's a safe color, it's very elegent and classy...
I was actually torn between the blackburst and walnut, but eventually chose the walnut over the other...

I prefer the Walnut too. I don't know what it is, the Blackburst just doesn't really do it for me.

I'll most likely get a blackburst if I ever get another JP(7)...
My two favourite colors of the BFR series

Some new pictures of my BFR...

These were taken with my dad's Nikon. It's a sweet camera!

Sick pics, Adam! That BFR is killer. Soon I'll have the long wait ahead of me just like you had, cuz in about 2 weeks I'm shooting Mr. Dubaldo a deposit for when the Koa's are available. Haha. Now quit posting and go play that beast!

I've played my BFR a total of about 4 hours today alone. That's a record for me since I was 11 years old! It's such a captivating piece of art - tone, looks, feel, and all!

EDIT. Those pics are killer!

Question

hey guys.

I've some questions regarding the BFR.

I've been reading through whole thread and there are some English expressions that I don't understand 100%.

What is a quilted or a flame top? what's the difference? Is it perhaps that the quilted top has the color like the member "MusicManJP6" posted his pictures?

And another thing. Why is there not possible to choose between a quilted or flame top?

For us Europeans is this inconvenient because the dealer near me doesn't have any BFRs in stock, it's only possible to order them.

Hi and Welcome :

OK;

The colour has nothing to do with the wood pattern.

Here's a FLAME Top (note the long, straight pattern in wood ) :
[MusicManJP6's BFR]

Here's a QUILT top (note ripply/quilty pattern in wood) :
[Paul Warren's BFR ]

As for Flame vs Quilt choice, you can order a quilt top for an extra price.

The quilted top is "érable pommelé" and flammed top is "érable ondé"

Yaysh. Seriously though, that is the coolest Bahama Blue I've ever seen in a photograph.

This is a question for anyone: I've heard that BBB is more teal in person. Is this true? I've seen pics that show this, but I thought it may have been the lighting.

Thanks, I love it. . . . I'll snap some more shots, shortly. And yes, those are two different ones. The one on top is mine. And that is NO artificial lighting, pure sunlight with no alterations. Defintely Blue!
