How many springs are you running? Are they under tension when in the floyd is in a resting position?

I don't have a floyd EBMM but have a full floating one on another guitar and while it's a pain in the butt to setup, it's fine once there and stays well in tune. I don't tone up with the arm, but I do play (well attempt) Eruption and have no issues with tune. I do usually switch to the sub1 or the Axis with the MM trem so I don't keep turning down the volume as I attempt to play (stupid non-ebmm guitar volume knob). That floyd guitar is up for sale.....stupid volume knob.....

keep in mind that you are talking about four pieces of wood two pots one switch a trem along with springs two pickups and some wire....BP

Someone sold me a guitar because he couldn't keep it in tune. Turns out that he had the clamps oriented wrong, just as you mention.

Thanks for all of your advice guys, my axis seems to be staying in tune, I lubed it up with motor oil, changed the strings, and now it staying. I'm gonna let it settle over the weekend while I'm camping, then when I come back on Sunday, if it still stays in tune, I'll be in business. Thanks for all your help!
