Any of you Poms near Downend, Bristol ?

I'll be flying to the Land of Crooked Teeth for 3 weeks in December to take the kids to see their pommy relatives. (My wife is English)

Any of you Knuckleheads nearby ?

Any shops / gigs I should check out ?

The schedule is going to be very tight (I'm actually going over 2 weeks after my wife & kids), but it'd be good to sink a Pint or 6 with a knucklehead !

How did she manage to get into Oz in the first place?

What crime did she commit?

I'm less worried about your wife being British, more that she came from Bristol

They actually deported her.

Apparently she didn't whinge enough to be called a real Pom.

I might get her retested when we're back - I'm sure they messed up the original test results

HeHe ; Luckily she flew the nest as soon as she could get out. She's about Bristolian as Vegemite these days.

There's no way I could fake being a Pom. I will NEVER accept that 2 run defeat in that 2nd test in the 2005 Ashes. I actually got drunk for only the 2nd time in my life that night ( yeah yeah so I dont drink alcohol, wanna fight about it?), on a bottle of wine called Cricket Pitch! Bloody Poms. At least the 5-0 thrashing in 06/07 went some way to easing the pain.

Give em hell Dizzy.

Yeah, we're not doing so well with the cricket. I think we must have spent too long thinking about the olympics....

HeHe, I was in England when they won.
Bloody hell, with the way they carried on was like they'd never won anything EVER !
It was unbearable !

Of course, I'm sure none of that applies to you distinguished English knuckleheads !

Thankfully, I don't really follow much sport, I wouldn't be able to cope with the continual heart-break!!!
