how long did you wait?

I think it may be good for those of us waiting for there guitar, if we knew how long outhers waited. I am waiting on a maple neck axis ss hard tail cherry burst for 4 mounths........I want it now. I have had dreams about playing it . Unfortunately I wake to no guitar. Every time my phone rings I think its my friends at Grandmas Music in Abq NM are calling with good news......but no.

So how long did you wait from order to delivery?

Compared with other manufacturers like Fender & gibson, EB's output of guitars is relatively small.
Along with the fact that there are so many options available, you can see that there is not always going to be a guitar to your exact specifications "off the peg".
So when you order a guitar from your dealer, if there isn't one in the inventory, then you are effectively having a guitar built for you.

A good friend of mine builds guitars from scratch (not buying in the parts and assembling them!!) and the time you would have to wait from him would be the same - 5 months.

I had to wait for my first EB - but by goodness was it worth it!!

Depends on their order schedule. About 3 years back I had one (a luke w/ piezo) that was ready in only 6 weeks.

Another Luke w piezo I had ordered before that one took 5 1/2 months. It was a transparent finish so I think they're a bit more selective of the woods on those since they show through.

You guys have SOOOOOOME patience. I'm putting off buying a guitar that's in a shop right now. It's used and I've been researching its history. But I've got a good 4 hours of playing on it. Just putting it off to be sure that it's meant to be. Trading another of my guitars for it too. 5 months! Yikes!

Got my first ball almost 3 years ago. I waited about 3 months for it to arrive. Bought my second ball less than a week after I got the first one. Will let you know how long the next one takes
