Need offset saddles for Floyd Rose

The high e saddle on my 97 Music Man axis is broken. It is the offset type from the evh days.guess they were left over and used on mine as it is a 97.

I called customer service and they sent me the newer version without the offset. They do not have any left in stock of the offset ones.

Does anyone have a high e saddle available?.................or know where to get one?

Also can the new one that Ernie Ball cs sent me be modified by making the opening wider?......Would that affect the integrity of the piece in any way?.

Has anyone else had this issue?

CS to their credit has offered to send me a newer version without the offset saddles if I send them back my oler floyd rose. Really do not want to take the guitar apart if I do not have to.

Just looking for an easy solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there sparky i have the same issue with my Luke mk1 floyd rose, mine are not broken, but have had a hard life so i ordered a full set of replacment ones from strings and things in the uk and i bought them and didnt think to look at them to see if they where offset and about 6 months later i went to put them on and big bummer £60 down the drain, so ive been looking ever since to get the right ones what ive found is that the trem that they used on the Luke mk 1 is made by Gotoh but spares for these are real hard to find, but i can buy the whole unit on ebay with offset saddles but MAKE certain it's the same side offset as your floyd. here is a link to one. hope this helps ...james..

The offset blocks aren't made anymore, and the only way to find them is to go on eBay and hope someone has had a spare set on eBay. THey were used on the EVH models, as well as the Luke v1. Most folks that have those models have had to change out the trem for one of the newer models.

It may be easier to just get a new trem from Customer Service. It's not really that complicated to change out a trem block. Just block the trem, unstring, remove the springs, remove the old trem, replace with the new one, and reverse the process. The only tools you'd need are a small phillips head screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers.

what was the total purpose of the offset saddles. i always thought it made it easier to get to the screw for intonation. is this correct.

I am going to modify the hole ever so slightly and see if that works for the time being.

I will let everyone know how well it works.

J, that is what I always thought too, cant see any other reason. I still need to loosen the strings to intonate though so it doesnt really help much.
