I am back, I just bought this and have a picture request.

NEW 2008 Ernie Ball MusicMan Steve Morse Guitar Floyd - eBay (item 270281702739 end time Oct-09-08 05:07:04 PDT)

I wonder though if those with vintage sunburst guitars with different colored pickguards could post pictures. Give me something to ponder while I wait on the truck to deliver.

Tortoise pickguard on it! Not exactly a SM but you get the idea, this is from the official MM site. I think a RW fretboard would be even better:

Any other pictures? I really like the tortoise and white pearl.

Has to be white based one.
Everything else just looks rotten.

After seeing all those on the morse, I think I like plain white the most. All that black on the pickups needs to be balanced, and being the pg so big, anything texturized like tortoise or pearloid is just too much happening there. I'd go with natty headstock If I had a choice.

I agree with you for the most part but think the white pickguard would look better if it was two pieces with black on the bottom. Well maybe but the white, white pearl, and tortoise all have qualities but none of them fit the bill exactly for me. What about a smoked mirror or somethin like that?

I had fully planned on changing my pickguard to a black one. However, it didn't take me long at all to figure out I liked it just fine the way it is.

I would prefer plain black or white for the above-mentioned reasons.
The man himself played it like this:

What about a translucent one? No one has suggested it yet... It can be custom ordered from several pg makers.
