That's cool!

His solo on "Peg" still ranks as one of the greatest ever.

He and Randy Goodrum just made a CD. It is really absolutely fabulous but a warning...very stelly danish, pop, jazz...the bass is synth and Jays solos are as good as he has played in years. THe problem is like there is no market for what they do......I think its on amazon but adult chords and might be a little slick for some but I really get what Jay does and Im really happy that they are making music and saying who cares that there is little market , this is fun its called Scene 29..the band is JaR. I Think its on I tunes and at least listen to a snippet. ALl the solos were done on the EVH

Cool! Thanks BP! I will definitely check it out. I really like Jay's playing and Steely Dan are one of my favorites. Larry Carlton's solo on "Kid Charlemagne" is another one of the great solos of all time (IMO), and Chuck Rainey and Abe Laboriel always brought the goods!

I know what you mean about their market....no matter how good they are, I don't think they have the name recognition amongst most folks to pull big crowds or sell CDs in huge numbers; but I'll support them!
