Introduction and Help Deciding!!!

Hey Everyone,
This is my first post on the EB forum. I spend a lot of time over at the Petrucci Forum, but thought I'd venture this way.

I'll be ordering my first Ball in the next two weeks, but I am in such a dilemma.
First, I want a Morse. I've played everyone model EB makes, and that part I am certain of.
Second, I don't know what color! It's been haunting me for over a month. I've scowered all the posts on here trying to decide. I was just wondering if you guys could post pictures of Morse's(Standard, not Y2D) preferably with a Black pickguard.

Huge Thanks in Advance!
-Jeff

Welcome Jeff! You're in the right place here Good call on the Morse ... they rule.

(Btw, I'm selling that one, in the for sale thread.)

My #1:

With some noiseless singles, piezo and Silent Circuit wired in for the coil splits.

Anyway you slice it, the Morse is a killer guitar. Fantastic neck, looks great in any colour, huge range of sounds. I'm partial the original Blueburst ... white is also quite striking.

That looks nice! I wonder what it would look like with the Black Pickguard. Maybe the Pearloid is a good idea...
I mean, the Blueburst is cool, but everyone gets the blue burst. I kinda want a stand out Morse!

Hey Now,

Glad you like my Morse, I love the white and the since blueburst wasn't my cup of tea, I chose that combination.

The black pearloid may look awesome too...I was also thinking abalone

There are so many great EBMM colors that the decision is hard, I am still waiting for someone to get a Cabernet pearl Morse or the even the white pearl

Good luck making your choice and keep us updated, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed

This looks like a job for Foggy ... he's got all the pictures stored up ...

(Personally if I didn't have Blueblurst, I'd go for White/White Pearloid like Pug.)

I was greatly considering the Cabernet, but it looks too brown for my tastes in those Bongo pics. I'd like to see more of what it actually looks like.

Jeff,

Yeah, sometimes the colors aren't true to form unless you see them in person, but the Cabernet looks like a winner to me. I used to own a Rolls Burgundy Albert Lee and it was one of those colors that you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

Like Beej said, wait for Fogman, he is the resident EBMM picture collector and he can probably provide you with an image of almost anything you're interested in.

Since you want something different than the classic BlueBurst, is there a particular color scheme you are interested in ?? There's a pic of a Candy Red Morse somewhere on these message boards with tortoise guard that is stunning too.

Rich

I usually don't care for Black guitars, but that looks stunning. Anyone have some pictures of guitars in Sapphire Black and Graphite Pearl I might look at?
