No more PRS for me! I gots me a Silo!

I finally sold the PRS!

I traded it at Guitar Center. They had 2 Silos. Both white with black pups and pick guards and with Rosewood boards. One played just slightly better than the other one. But there was a small stress crack in the neck pocket(paint only no wood was damaged). So I asked what they could do, and they said they will get me a new one! I even got to take home the one with the crack! When the new one comes in I can go get it and give back this one.

Oh and I asked them to make it white pups and a pearl guard instead. The trem was very easy to set up. I know I said I didnt want a trem, But I love the tone you get from the brass block! Also Im going to order one from Pete but with a fixed bridge instead.

They also thru in a few packs of Dunlop Strings and a white Dimarzio Clip Lock Strap!

This thing rocks!

Very cool bro and congrats!

Awesome that they let you take a loaner until the fresh one arrives.

Ive only had this loaner for 1 day and Im already in love! I really like this one alot! Guitar Center said that after the new one comes in they are going to put the loaner on the used wall & blow it out. I might come back a day or two later and but it back at the discounted price! HAHA!

Slinkys only sound good the day they get put on After that they are Dead! I don't even like the new coated ones. Dunlop Strings are great! They are my new favorite!!!!!

As for the Strap. What do you suggest? An EB strap with the EB Strap locks? No thanks I like my Dimarzio straps. Besides EVERYONE uses Dimarzio Straps!!!!

Yeah prog, matters of taste - I disliked the DiMarzio strapends flying around in the case with the fiddle. I went back to classic Schaller straplocks and a plethora of different straps.
However, I made completely different experiences in strings.
One fine day in years, I always start questioning everything and try out all different stuff. Dunlops just weren't for me, I stuck a while with Elixir NanoWebs and a few others but wasn't quite happy. Tried a 2-years old set of Slinkys (factory packaged - not used ) back on one of my Silos and another on one of the Les Prowls, and there I was again - right where I wanted my sound and feel to be.

...but yeah, of course - personal tastes and preferences...
...the eternal quest for tone
