Hey guys, just looking through the thread
UK Knucklehead Bash 2009

Last years bash was great and Pete assures me it's going to be better this year what with going on later!! - and there will be some great guitar players there too.

In the past we have been looking enviously at the USA EB bashs and Blind Lemon has taken on the batton with EB and is prepared to throw a bash for us who are not able to make the US bashes.
So guys I think that we should let Blind Lemon know our intentions ASAP as no doubt this bash takes a lot of planning (and money outlay)- we don't just want 10 cans of beer if there's gonna be 20 people there

Note the bash in yer diaries - plan your gigging calendars and let's support this gesture and keep Pete informed as soon as we can - it's only fair. Besides it would be great to meet face to face.

As they say "Use it or lose it".

By the way Pete, me Olplayer and Mrs Olplayer will be there. So you like a beer too, so make sure that there are 4 cans of beer at least!!
Oh yeah and some Yorkshire stuff for The Devil

My fellow knuckleheads, I can only echo Spud's comments, This was one of the best parties I've ever been to - the whole concept of going to a room full of people you met on the internet scared the hell out of me. But you know something they were some of the most amazing people I have ever met, Spud is larger than life, Jimmy is supercool and gives great guitar storage tips (you'da' man) - Colinboy and Adam antum are the funniest people ever if Lum and I didn't have to walk over London at 2am blind drunk then we'd have stayed till sun rise...and D stocken is a ringer for Mark tremonit! – Tiffles, Bungo – that big tall fella, Lious/Johnny Mr and mrs – with the cat avatar – sorry my memory sucks! You all rock – AND OF COURSE BETH! – coolest US dame ever – and she knows a lot about poo!
Blind Lemon and DaveB setup a hell of a party last year, that with Beth coming over and the Bushmen, Jamie Humphries, the really talented Italia guy (who’s name escapes me right now) and of course the Devil made a night I will never forget
I ramble a bit - but I assure you this one of the best nights ever.



To be honest with you I always wanted to go to one of the parties in the states, but on a low income, wife, 2 kids I'll realistically not manage it within the next 10 years, I posted ages ago explaining my annoyance (at my financial situation) Paging EBMM staff. -2008 Get togethers.
As you can See BP was very cool about the whole thing – have a read –....
I begged BP to come last year Poppa be quick, you only have.....
I begged BP to come this year.... For the Personal Attention of Mr Sterling Ball.
I assure you NOBODY is more excited about this party than me!
Most people are lucky enough to be dealt a full measure of life, I treat every day as if it were my last, for anyone on the fence about going to this event I assure you it will be nothing short of brilliant.....
And if you’ve made it to the end of this post and read all the links – you’ll see that BP hasn’t said NO to coming, I appreciate it’s not a yes, but – how cool would that be ??
Saturday June 13th – Email Blind Lemon for tickets, Balls, Babes, Beers, Bald Devils ! – be there!
Lum is a great man for finding deals there’s a pukka hotel at Excel which at the moment is cheaper than the travel in!!! - £60 a hotel (for central London that’s pretty good!!) –
Check out Custom House Hotel, London, Docklands - OFFICIAL HOTEL SITE - Near ExCeL Exhibition Centre and London City Airport

Flights from Inverness (I think I’m coming the farthest apart from Strummer) –are about £30 each way – I’ll be travelling from around 4am – but it’ll be worth it.

I know it’s credit crunch but there’s the London Guitar show during the day then this party – live a little!
