I was thinking the same thing! Obviously I havent played a 25th so dont jump down my throat people, but the basic tones sure sound similar enough to the 20th, The humbucker tones sound like humbucker tones so I wouldnt be buying it to replace any of my balls that currently have humbuckers, I guess the single coil tones are what makes it unqiue, though my AL's and Silo Specials cover those bases amazingly. However, final judgement will be reserved should I ever play one, which is unlikely unless I order one.

My local dealer has ordered 2. I will be definately trying these out alongside my 20ths before I pass judgement. If I like them THAT much, I will probably end up buying one... or two...

Split humbuckers will produce a nice trebly clean tone. But that's still not entirely a single coil tone. It's a nice enough compromise. But PAFs tend to still have that honk to them, which is pretty evident on that clip. It's a good thing that the 25th is a 22 fretter HH guitar. But I couldn't really hear how the chambered body was altering the tone. I guess I'll really have to do try and see. (Then again, I still can't tell between chambered or solid Les Pauls either).

I was thinking the same.
I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Hey Pete! Can we count on a video when they start to roll through your shop?

The specs given at NAMM were that the pickups are basically Axis pickups with chrome covers, and not the same as the 20th Silhouette. Things may have changed since then, but those are the specs I got.

I wouldn't be against doing a vid if such a great one hadn't already been done!

Wow... THATs interesting... Meaning the covers contribute a lot to that nasal honk? Hmm...

I know the spec is regular Axis pups. It just sounds similar to the 20th Silo to my ears. (they aren't that good)

I'm not knocking the video. It's awesome.
Maybe you could do one exploring it's other tones? More distorted perhaps?

Will you have one available at the store to try out?

(why do I feel like I have to watch out for the DEA when I ask that?)

.......and a question after watching the video.....is the trem arm bolted from the back like the Axis or pop in like a Supersport?

Watching that made me go to their website.

Reading around there got me to buy one of their CDs.

Cool stuff!
