People get guitars signed all the time, what would be different about this?

(Not trying to make problems, I just genuinely don't know what's legally different)

legally John decides if he signs something...He owns his name likeness and that includes sig...technically you really need his blessings for the same reasons why I didnt want our name on it. lets just accept this and move on ....the thread is back on track

So last we saw the guitar, it looked more like a coat rack than a guitar.
It was time to saw those excess pieces off.

I opened up a brand new Black & Decker blade for this, and cut the dowels off by hand.
The masking tape was to insure I didn't scratch or damage the body by sawing.

They're not level, but that's a lot less wood I have to deal with now.

At this point I had a lot of sanding to do. I've already done most of it, but I've still got plenty left to do. The rest will be left to a nice new sanding block that I'm gonna purchase.
Hopefully by Saturday I'll be onto the wood filler, and it's pretty much cake and cleanup from there.
After the wood filler, I'll redrill the pickup selector hole, then sand everything down real nice. I wish I had a big huge sanding table, lol.
After the sanding, I'll do a little more cleanup, like the neck pocket still has stubborn paint in it. Then it's into someone else's hands to paint. The mockup will be posted when the body is ready for paint, but prior to the painting.

No MAJOR changes today, but I'm covered in quite a bit of dust at the moment. Need a goooood shower.

Anyway, I decided just to do some sanding today. I sharpened up the edges and bevels a bit, as I felt they lost some of their 'edge'.
Again, nothing extreme, and it's likely difficult to see in the pictures, but I think they look more pronounced.

The really light areas you see are where I've managed to get past the nitro celly and into the actual wood.

The dowels now feel flush with the guitar, except for the little areas where the wood filler needs to be. That'll come next after I complete a little additional sanding.
I'd like to smooth up some corners a little bit before moving on, but I think the newly sharpened edges/bevels look nice.

Do you guys approve?
