Wow, I was really blown away by this message. If there are really less than 10, it's better to put it in my safe - ha, ha!! I hope luke will have a little time to sign it after his show in hannover.

Thanks a lot, Dan!

Thanks dan! Funny thing about the madden green deal... I actually thought it was a madden when I first spotted it. Then I saw the extra pups and I knew it was a silo spec. Had to have it...

Andy, it was just one of those weird things - tons of Lukes sold over the few years this color was available, but no one seemed to want it in this color, to which I would say - their loss!

Yeah the MF Green was not a very popular color, and had been discontinued, but Benji liked it so we resurrected it for him.

Hello Dan,

As always hope you, your family and Bailey are well, been a little preoccupied with the wedding planning so a little late in posting these!

First- G45018
Second- G20420
Third- G42285

And on the BFR AL maybe you can shed a little light, as usual came from DuBaldo, but when i posted the pics, BP responded and his quote was " that Al is special", well all BFR AL's are but any thoughts on why this one is more special

Thanks and take care,

Keith

I recently swap one of my guitars for a silhouette of my friend, serial number 90500, it's 6 bolts and not sculpted neck joint. HSS, not a silo special. On the neck plate there's 2 men playing guitar logo and serial number in lower position.

Could someone tell me when is this guitar made? 1990?
The original owner changed the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan, which dimazio is the stock spec?

Thanks a lot!

Hi. I just own a 2d hand 97's Axis Sport, with hardtail. I enjoyed when I've try her unplugged (with a Tele style sounding), but I was really surprise when I plugged her (she's my 5th one). So I decided to check the pickups, to be sure they were the original ones. I've only read "di marzio, made in U.S.A.", but no "custom". Are they the right pu ?
Best regards.
(I'm waiting my 6th one... I'm just crazy 'bout that axe !)

Wow Keith, a wedding? Yours, or someone else's? And somehow you still have time to pick up more Music Man guitars - that is very admirable!

Bailey and the family are all fine. He lost some weight so I was able to ease up on his diet a bit, so he is a bit happier these days. That dog loves to eat, like most dogs.

First- G45018 - Axis SS hardtail Natural finish with rosewood board built 1/29/09
Second- G20420 - Axis SS in Stratus Blue (rare color, esp. for Axis type guitars!), maple, matching headstock, shipped originally to Music Center, Kenosha, WI.
Third- G42285 - Your Albert Lee BFR in Quilted Pinkburst, with tremolo, built 05/15/08 - I am not sure why this guitar is any more special - it is one of the first ones made, other than that - ? Maybe it has been blessed with a special kind of magic.
Take care!

Dan

gouqizi, welcome to the Forum!

Yes, your guitar was made on 06/06/90. In those days, we used a 6-bolt neck plate, and there was no sculpted neck joint. We used to offer the Silhouette in 4 configurations - HH, HSS, SSS, and HSH, and the pickguard assemblies were interchangeable (still are) with solderless nylon connectors. It was one of the first to offer that option, you could change pg assemblies for a whole different sound without having to remove the strings - though loosening them was a good idea.

Oh, and your guitar was originally shipped to Jay's Music Center in Augusta, Georgia. Congrats on getting a great guitar!
