Tenarus, you certainly may! Your EVH was completed on 8/31/95, a month before we stopped production on those guitars.

Joe,

The serial number of your John Petrucci 7 tells me it was completed on 8/14/04

Dan, I'm guessing that 05 is a typo and the d.o.b. is 8/31/95, correct? Also, was the original color amber?

Thanks!

That is correct - a typo or brain lapse, either way! 1995 it definitely is!

and yes, a lot of people call it amber, but the official name is Translucent Gold.

Joe, a lot of times guitars will be in the stores for a while. Sometimes people will have deposits on them, they sit for months not for sale, then the person decides they can't get it so the instrument goes back to stock. But anyway, that's when it was made. We originally sent this to Indoor Storm in in Raleigh, North Carolina. I take it you got it shipped directly from them? Anyways - cool guitar!

If I had to put money on it, I would say that he bought it off ebay in Germany from an American who just sold off his EB collection.

jup, that´s nearly how it was. but the guy sent me a email before it went on ebay, because he read here, that i´m looking for one of theses.
i hadn´t the money right at the moment, so it went on ebay - but didn´t sell.
during this time i sold two other guitars and so we came together once more.
so the guitar was no ebay deal.
and yes he brought it over to germany.
