Question Problem with string clicking in JP.

Hello everyone.
My first post here. As I wrote in the title, I have a problem with high e string clicking in my MusicMan JP Model. It`s caused by small channel in a saddle.
I noticed that after restringing guitar, it`s very irritating especially when I bend a high e string (you can hear it through a speaker!). I am not sure when and why this channel appear at all. For sure e string made that groove, but is it normal? what can caused that?
I play my guitar very often and it has really surprised me that I never noticed that before. So here is youtube link showing this clicking:

I noticed that grooves in b and g string saddles as well. But they`re not affect on string clicking.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

Husan

Hi Husan.

Welcome to the forum.

I see that your bridge has the "Piezo saddles". I just checked my Albert Lee guitar which has the same type of saddle, and I don't have that problem.

Is your guitar under warranty? If so you need to contact the MM distributor in your country the location of which you haven't stated in your user details.

No doubt people want to chip in and say sand the groove out - but PLEASE CHECK with MM first.

Thanks for your replays guys.

Unfortunately I live in EU, in Poland, so sending guitar to EB MM customer service
would be too expensive. I bought that guitar in Toronto, so I don`t have any guarantee.

I`ve already contact with Polish Distributor but their luthier has never met something like this:/ As he lives far from my home city he propose me to order through distributor new bridge. I am not sure If i can order just a bridge saddle.
I will call them tomorrow to ask about this.

Can I repair it by my own (sanding))? Of course changing saddles from different strings is an option, but I really don`t want to do that. Is it a common problem?

Please call or email EBMM customer service. They'll give you advice on what to do, or work with you on getting any replacement parts. (If it were me ... I'd wait from a response from them rather than start filing down a saddle.)

Damn it! I missed my chance to be the first to say "call Customer Service." I guess I'll have to settle for be one of the posters to reiterate it multiple times.

You should call Customer Service.

I think calling Customer Service will be a bit expensive from Poland - I'm sure it could be cleared up via e mail.

To replace a piezo saddle is not an easy job - I know, because I rebuilt my bridge with all new piezo saddles. That was because the previous owner had not treated my JP very well.

Husan, customer service's e mail address is
musicman_customerservice@ernieball.com
