Luv the Sub-1

Oiled the rosewood, put on some new Slinky's.......What a great guitar! I prefer 10's but put 9's on since that's the factory setup.

I like the pickups. They sound great with my Palomino V32 amp. Good clarity and high end. I find the non-contoured body comfy since I'm used to a Telecaster slab. The radiused ends are plenty contour.

The neck is smooth as butter. Just had to twist the truss rod a hair to get rid of some buzz.

I just need to order a new trem arm. Thanks to EBMM CS staff for sending me info on ordering one.

I think I will save up for another Ball someday like an AL, AXIS or Morse.

Congratulations! The SUB is a real monster of a guitar, and underrated for sure. The pickups are especially sweet.

I thought they originally came with 10's....??? Well, if you decide to try em out, I've run 10's on mine from the start and they work well. Where's the pix??? We need pix.

Welcome aboard...

Great cinnamon Sub 1 Mike. There wasn't any doubt here that you'd like it. I love mine, that's for sure. And welcome to the SUBOC.

I definitely recommend it, especially if you like to switch tunings around a lot. I feel weird with anything less than .10's, and have grown accustomed to .11's.

Nice Sub1. Did you get that from the craigslist ad in LA?

I played a Sub1 a few times back when they were available. I thought the pickups were really great!

Yup, that was the one from LA. Seller was great to deal with. Just a couple small nicks on back of neck and body, otherwise like new.
