Nice score bro. The scratch is nothing to worry about as it gives it a story to tell. That neck is gorgeous! Congrats.

I gotta ask, what's a tax inspector doing working at a Music fair ??

How does that happen ??

By the way Spud, if you ever come to another gig of mine.. don't forget to bring that black Al with 3 P90's.. that's gotta be a tone machine !!

I'll bring the AL for sure.

How did it all come about?

Well Pete from S & T used to live in South Wales, and when we first met about 3 years ago we were talking about all the local musos, where I'd played, the places now long gone and the people long gone!

It was as if we'd known each other for years. We always spoke at the music shows and one time I said that I would be like a kid in a candy store working at an exhibition. I'd worked with the public for 30+ years, had worked in local schools doing student mentoring and always got on well with "kids".
At the LIMS last year he was trying to get things organised for the evening-so much to do - so little time. The Jamiroquai lads had turned up and I got hooked up with the bass player(not knowing who he was!) so I got to help out with the setting up of the "Bash". I guess I must have done something right because Pete had a staff problem and I jumped at the chance -the rest is history and I hope to do some more.

In the right place at the right time and believe me I felt privileged to pull on the Ernie Ball jacket and represent the company. I loved it, not just the show, but the interaction with the whole team. Tell ya what the way HMRC is going early retirement is a real possibility, if I lived near Shoreham on Sea I'd be asking for a part time job to supplement my pension

I'd heard that. There were rumours (and that's all they were) that Music Live and LIMs would combine

Hey Travs - we've bros for a while now.

I got sent home early today from work (feeling and looking like cr4p) and I hooked up the new AL through the Mesa.

Can't wait to "play in" this guitar. I need to get at the fretboard to give it some oil, but I'm too tight to take the strings off yet as they still sound "so new"

When playing this afternoon I kept going for the whammy bar forgetting it's a hardtail ha!

Update
I gave the neck a slight sanding and applied a wet cloth and steam iron to the neck blem and voila!!
Job done and no sign of the blem - it was only small!

Left it a couple of hours and oiled the neck -perfect

You know a decent guitar is wasted on me!!

But we can grab a beer or two if you want. I'm in Manc every day (hey, I could take you into some student bars!!! Well, I would if the kids would tell me where they were!)

I love when a wayward guitar finds a loving home! I knew you would have this Albert in minty fresh shape. I still want a trem Al but the joy my hardtail provides is more than I ever imagined. enjoy it. give us a full report after you
play.

I'll get back to you as I haven't had confirmation of my hotel.

The drinks are on me - I have to use my expenses up some how.
- and I meant it, I could drop the AL (Black LE Rosewood neck, trem MM90's) off to you on the Tuesday as long as it was back with me at 18:00 at Piccadilly Station on the Thursday. You'd have 2 nights with it and may help you to decide between MM90's or the usual SSS. _ I have my thoughts on this that we can talk about.
