Why wait? Resale value is strong... Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Live today. 6 months from now you'll be talking about number 4.

That is all

There will always be something newer/different to wait for and if you never jump in you'll just keep waiting forever.

I say there are a lot of great options out there now. Who knows, if you wait for a 10th anniversary, it might never come, or there could be a new jp model on the horizon, or there could be a dd3, who knows... Anything could happen.

Long story short, if you need it now, and there is an available product to meet your needs, go for it!

Well said ... there is always cool stuff around the next corner. If you wait to take advantage of the latest EBMM innovation ... well you'll be waiting forever.

I say go for what you want now. There will always be cool things coming up in the future from EBMM.

Edit: just saw Beej's post, my thoughts are the same. +1

hahaha, i was talking to some friends about that after watching the trailers of the movie, we were all like "well at least we got to enjoy our EBMM for a few years" LOL

I am really tempted and you guys are not helping.... there really isn't a need, I mean, I have the JP limited edition 2007 and a BFR 7, and 7 other guitars, it is just that the DD2 is too damn beautiful. I saw it at Long and Mcquade here in Toronto and coudln't take my eyes off it... didn't bother asking for the price though, it costs what it is worth, period, but I know If I make that kind of purchase now, I won;t be able to do it again for 2 years, thus my initial question...

Good point though the fact that they haven't made anything special for the other signatures...it might never happen

well, there is a SM Y2D, but do you want to wait 12 years for a JP Y2D?

Go for it now. No sense in waiting around. You'll just wait 2 years and end up regretting not buying one now AND getting one then

So, did you get it?

I went for the DD2 BFR JP6, because I regretted missing out on the original run of Dargies. Who knows? They might never do it again, and you'll have missed out. If you regret the decision, you can always sell it, but that's a decision you might regret even more.

Of course, BP announced the JP 10th anny last week in Boston... now you have a big decision to make. I still say get the DD2. You can always sell your least fave to get the anny later next year. Tax time is comming up too maybe that will help

Man the DD2 is amazing and I would sell my Silo Special for one in a heartbeat. You know if money was tight and you wanted the 10th when it released someone here would buy one of your guitars, especially the DD2 if the 10th is that amazing. Live it up. That and sell me the BFR 7 for $500 to help fund the DD2!!!! Haha
