First Silhouettes
Anyone have an early silhouette - 86 or 87?

That's cool, you might want to check the Serial Number Sticky.

I have a 1987. Neck is much the same except no locking tuners - had a locking bar. Biggest difference is pickups. They were all Schallers. No hum canceling electronics.
I've owned an 88, 90, 93, and 03 silhouette. Prefer the 87, only one I still have. Best sounding EB guitar I've ever owned is the Albert Lee with MM90's. I converted it to a 2 pickup model. WOW! those pickups have power that blasts even the humbuckers. |
