Should every Axis have birdseye on the neck?

Just wondered after seeing this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

Lovely top but doesn't seem to have an ounce of birdseye on it

Some have more figure than others, to be sure... but I don't think I'd complain abuot a lack of birds-eye if I had flame like that!!

I've got a couple Sports with very plain necks, and others with loads of birds-eye; me thinks it's a bit of a crap-shoot...

The flame on that neck is not particularly good.

That is a stunning guitar. I've posted before complaining about my EVH not having many birdseyes in the neck - however, I always remind myself, I have an owned from new EVH that plays and sounds like a dream - I'm pretty happy about that regardless of how the neck looks

i can dig that !!!!
i got a 90 morse w/ minimal figure neck.....and it is the best sounding one i've ever played......

they all sound great though........
after owning and playing so many at this point...... i never worry about how an ebmm is gonna sound before i buy one.....

Do you tend to get a more fugured neck if you opt for the premium top? My new Axis has loooooads of figuring (reminder: sort out photos)
