Radience Red

Hey everybody new forum member here. I am curious as to what you all think of the Radience Red Color? I was thinking of buying a JP7 in that color. It looks like it has a bit of sparkle to it?LOL!!!Seriously I messaged BigPoppa and he said it has gold flake in it and to post this as a thread. Not to beat a dead horse but I am a huge fan of the sparkle finishes. I have a JP6 White Sparkle wich is the coolest looking guitar I ever owned. I would be buying one of these guitars every payday but I just don't care for any of the colors cept maybe Desert Gold they are just too plain looking for me. I am a convert from Ibanez and all my guitars have had the bookmatched flamed maple tops so I need some eye candy as well.

Well from what I understand the sparkle in Radience Red is smaller than say the White Sparkle of your JP. I have 4 Sparkle guitars and I'm with you man I love them. DG's nice and the same type of sparkle from what I can tell from the pictures that I've seen.

I think that the Radience Red is a cool color and I'm glad to see that it was added to the standard color selection.

Koogie, your is RR, what's your take on it???

It's not a sparkle finish like they made a few years back but it's a beautiful color and it does sparkle. I find myself looking at it when it's on my stand so I can appreciate it......weird, never looked at a guitar so much. I was a little scared it might be too bright for my taste but when I recieved it, I knew I made the right choice. The color is intense, rich and mesmerizing. Everybody that sees it, is captivated by the color. You won't be disappointed.......

Yes, there is a upcharge for that color. Check out the PICS thread. You'll see some there.

All of the metallic finishes have a kind of "sparkle" to them, like the finish on an automobile. I know the Rad Red, Lava Pearl, Medallion Gold, Graph Pearl and Egyptian Smoke all have that metal flake "sparkle" in them. The discontinued sparkle finishes blow away the metallic finishes as far as sparkling goes, because the sparkle finishes have silver (?) flakes in the paint.

Sparkle Vs New Colors

Ernie,
I agree 110% with you buddy. The sparkle finishes were awesome but I figure thats a lost cause . I would love to have a seven in one but thats probably not gonna happen so am I am looking at the colors they have now so's I can get a seven too.

To compare, look at the bottom of this Pet in Rad Red, you can see some small flakey sparkling:

Now here's a Pet in Gold Sparkle:

No comparison!
