I'm an SR5 HH guy myself, but your four is one great looking bass! I seem to have a weekly crisis about selling my bass because it seems I have GAS reflux disease, but I always end up keeping mine.

I play a SR5 HH, and not a Sterling, but I really miss the series parallel option. Last week, I played a single pickup SR5 for the first time in a long time, and I could really hear the difference...

That's a great looking bass. I like it as much as my own. Too bad the original owner has to sell it! I would be bummed something fierce.:(

I almost always leave all the tone bands on full unless I want to get a more old school sound and I cut the treble. Most of my tone shaping comes from the coil swtich, the amp, and my hands. It works...

SUB 5s are great basses. The lack of contour makes them a little less comfortable when sitting, but it is no biggie IMO. To me, they get a nice Stingray tone, in fact they are closest thing you can...

Bongo SC/H Five or SR5 HH?

I slipped out of the Music man fold but now I want back in. I am thinking of two basses, a SC/H Bongo five that I can get for less with a trade in or a SR5 HH that is somewhat more. I love both...

If yu want a Stingray with neck that feels small, play a SR5. I compared mine to a couple of Laklands, and the neck feels tiny compared to them. My SR5 is also fast and plays like butter. Heck, why...

Since funk is my first love, it is hard to pick just one line. I always loved the powerful simplicity of AWB's "Schoolboy Crush" and I love the hyper slapping of "Glide" by Pleasure (a Stingray...

Thinking of a Swap

I swore I would never trade my natural finish, maple necked SR5, but I am tempted to swap for a SC/H Bongo. Am I silly or should I seriously consider this action?

The hoepfully, the new batches will be well set up. I really have no need for another bass, but these do look good. They are cheap too. Who knows? ;)

I have spare batteries, a spare bass, and if that bass has a dead battery, it has active bypass. It never hurts to have a failsafe built into an operation.
