Digital Marketing Manager


Full Time: Monday - Friday


The Ernie Ball Inc. Digital Marketing Manager will execute the day-to-day tasks associated with managing the organic and paid digital marketing, email, social media, blogs, and forums for the Ernie Ball Inc., and Ernie Ball Music Man family of brands. They will help in development and execution of Ernie Ball Inc.'s world class digital marketing, social media and community marketing strategies. The Digital Marketing Manager works with the Creative, Marketing and Artist Relations departments and reports directly to the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate not only “lives and breathes” social media, but also has a strong understanding of both the analytical and creative aspects of the role.


Maintain the consistency of brand messaging and voice across all digital marketing channels.
Writing, scheduling, and optimizing digital content, including social media posts, weekly emails, and blog posts.
Digital Ad management including writing, targeting, buying, and optimizing to company KPIs across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, PPC, content networks, etc.
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video and/or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Plan, write, build, and send weekly emails
Coordinate, plan, and execute consumer surveys
Create and/or curate social media coverage for all Ernie Ball events, including NAMM, Warped Tour, etc.
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Manage the Ernie Ball customer loyalty program
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Manage editorial calendars (social, email, blog, etc.) and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate digital marketing data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments and outside partners (customer relations, sales, artist management, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate marketing efforts
Assisting in the planning and developing of strategies for increasing engagement and conversion

Welcoming members to the forum community & acclimating them
Building relationships with key members of the community and influencers
Moderating conversations and encouraging specific topics (product launches, etc)
Promoting members, making introductions to other members, and encouraging relationship formation
Running regular programming/content/events
Coordinating with internal resources to respond to specific community discussions and coordinating cross-functional needs
Enforcing guidelines/boundaries
Channeling input and response from community into other organizational processes
Planning and developing strategies for increasing engagement and conversion


Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, business administration, or related field.
Two years experience in social media marketing positions, preferably with a music gear or consumer brand
Two years experience in paid media buying, management, optimization, and measurement
Knowledge of brand marketing best practices, optimization, and measurement
Knowledge of email best practices, optimization, and measurement
Knowledge of customer survey best practices, optimization, and measurement
Knowledge of loyalty program best practices, optimization, and measurement
General knowledge of web design, CRM, and SEO
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and internet advertising platforms
Must be able to work in a team, coordinating activities with various managers and program areas
Must possess excellent written and verbal skills
Must be able to maintain professional rapport
Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data
Good problem solving and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and coordinate own activities with others
Positive attitude
Ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication
Ability to work in a fast- paced environment and meet corporate deadlines
Knowledge of guitars and music gear a plus
Experience with product and/or live photography a plus
Multilingual a plus
