Human Resource Intern
Part time, 15-20 hrs per week
The Human Resource Intern assists HR representatives, HR Manager and Director of Operations with day-to-day human resource duties, and administrative support. Assists the employees with any HR concerns or general questions. Reports to the HR Manager.
Maintain employee records including employee files, attendance profiles, and payroll records, while using discretion
Offer administrative support on day-to-day operations of the HR department including office reception, completing forms, filing and record keeping
Respond independently and accurately to a variety of inquiries from employees and supervisors
Keep company notifications and HR boards updated with current company news and announcements
Provide a high degree of customer service and employee focus while demonstrating sensitivity to each individual's questions or concerns.
Perform various tasks and assist with projects as they arise, being flexible to changing focuses
Support application process and assist with hiring
Respond to employee verifications including EDD requests
Help with company and department events
Assist with accurate tracking of Leave of Absences
Enter and edit time and attendance, monitor employee attendance
Business Student with interest in Human Resources
Possess outstanding people skills
Word processing and spreadsheet knowledge
Good oral communication, organization, and planning skills
Creative personality that shows adaptability to changing project scopes
Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines
High degree of focus on customer service
Looking for someone long term, at least 1 year.
