Full Time Monday- Friday (7:30 AM - 4 PM)
Setup and operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, welders, saws, buffers, drills, and vertical machine tools to make parts per engineering specifications.
Fabricate production and custom parts using metal, plastics and wood
Design and build jigs, tooling and machinery for production and custom projects
Understand and edit CNC “G-Code”
Read engineering drawings and interpret dimensions and tolerances of pieces to be machined.
Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing
personnel in order to exchange technical information.
Source and select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
Perform Quality Control tasks on parts made in house and by outside contractors
Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines
Direct Machine Shop operations and personnel to meet production goals, and to support other departments
Adhere to tight deadlines by prioritizing projects and maintain communication with departments on the progress of their parts.
5-10 years of experience in Machining or Manufacturing
CAM/CAD experience (Master Cam preferred)
Programming experience with CNC machines
Experience training and mentoring a team
Woodworking skills a plus
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in machine shop mathematics.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Ability to succeed independently and as a team-member.
Strong planning and organizational skills
