Maroon 5 is a blend of rock, funk, R 'n B and soul. Their debut CD "Songs about Jane" was released in June 2002. Now over hundreds of weeks on the billboard charts, "Songs about Jane" has been certified Diamond(10 million units sold) by the success of hit songs, "This Love" and "Harder To Breathe." After performing at the 2005 Grammy Awards, the band was awarded their first Grammy for "Best New Artist." From Los Angeles, Maroon 5 were initially named Kara's Flowers. They released one CD for Reprise records but it did not prove to be a commercial success. In May of 2007 Maroon 5 released their 2nd Cd "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" going double platinum in a matter of weeks. The band continues to tour, write and record with a planned 3rd release in 2010.
