Paul Gilbert, one of the most celebrated guitar shredders of the last 2 decades, is known the world over for his virtuosity and terrifying technique.  Equally unique, is Paul's ability to craft the perfect song with a keen sense of harmony and melody.  With 30 or so cd releases under his belt ,Paul has displayed a vast wide variety of musical direction, from blistering guitar solo's to Beatleseque power pop songs.

Moving to Hollywood in the mid 80's, Paul quickly became a guitar hero playing in and around the LA club circuit with his band Racer X.  After the band broke up in 1988, Paul formed Mr Big with fellow virtuoso bassist Billy Sheehan.  Mr Big was a huge commercial success, first in Japan and then worldwide with a #1 Billboard hit "To Be with You". Headlining concert halls and major rock festivals, Mr Big toured non-stop for many years. Paul soon left Mr. Big to concentrate on a solo outing which lasted well into the 90's.  At this time, Paul's career was centered around his immense popularity in Japan who openly embraced his pop sensibility and guitar heroics.  As the new Millennium approached fans clamored for new Racer X material.  Paul and his former band-mates heeded the call with Technical Difficulties and Super Heroes, a collection of fierce metal tracks with a heavy dose of Paul's trademark Hyper-Shred guitar work.

In the last few years Paul has toured with G3 featuring Joe Satrinani and John Petrucci.  A Guitar Generations tour with with George Lynch is forthcoming, and plans to reunite Mr Big are on the horizon in 2010.
